The Alexander Resort, Miami Beach Undergoes $10-Million Restoration Featuring Spectacular Neo-Classical Lobby
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – The Alexander All-Suite Oceanfront Resort, best known for its intimacy and exclusivity, has undergone a major restoration to enhance and update its main lobby, exterior, landscaping and guest suites.

Welcoming Neo-Classical Lobby
The sweeping entrance of The Alexander, with its two-story, high-vaulted ceilings of the porte-cochere, is adorned with newly-restored antique brass chandeliers. The Murano-glass tiled walls shimmer with reflections of the fountains flanking the lobby entrance, where a resplendent marble and semi-precious stone medallion is located.
The Alexander’s Main Lobby’s features exquisite Neo-Classical décor that welcomes guests home. The warm glow of dark oak wood paneling is enhanced by floors made of Crema Marfil polished marble imported from Spain. This creamy ivory marble has stunning brown and beige veining, which creates a warm, traditional feel. The soft, buttery finish and old-world appearance match perfectly with the Emperador dark brown borders. The concierge and reception desks complete the look with matching Emperador dark brown marble counters.
The lobby is illuminated by two-story, palladium-style windows and a magnificent Murano glass chandelier. The comfortable and elegant furniture by Baker blends rich tones of gold and red reflected by the wall colors and high-coffered ceilings. The rugs are authentic Persian and bring together the palatial look of The Alexander.
Relax or Workout in Tropical Pool and Spa
The Alexander’s two lagoon-shaped swimming pools are set on an acre of newly-landscaped, lush tropical gardens with palm trees and indigenous foliage such as Sea Grape. With a cascading waterfall as a backdrop, guests can relax in either of the property’s two jacuzzis and enjoy al fresco dining and bar service provided by Top of the Falls grill. From the vantage point of the upper pool, the spectacular view of the white sand beach and azure blue of the Atlantic Ocean is equal to any in the world.
For those who prefer to keep active, The Alexander's updated fitness center offers guests a convenient place to workout while enjoying views of the pool and gardens. The center is equipped with a central weight system, exercise bikes, and treadmills.
